Corrections & Medical Errata Policy

Effective Date: October 2026 • Last Updated: October 2026 • Governance: TruthUpfront Media Standards Directorate
🌐 TruthUpfront Media Network Corrections SLA

This Corrections and Medical Errata Policy governs error rectification on TruthUpfront Health (health.truthupfront.com) under the network-wide accountability framework of the TruthUpfront Media Network:

1. The Critical Imperative of Medical Accuracy

In health and medical journalism, factual accuracy is a matter of direct public safety. At TruthUpfront Health, we treat inaccuracies with utmost gravity. When an error occurs in our coverage of clinical trials, pharmaceutical data, nutritional recommendations, or epidemiology, we correct it immediately and transparently.

No Stealth Editing: We never quietly change numbers, revise clinical interpretations, or alter text without an explicit, timestamped editorial correction notice.

2. Emergency Medical Errata Triage (< 6 Hours)

We prioritize corrections according to potential reader risk:

  • Emergency Clinical Errata (Target Resolution < 6 Hours): Any reported inaccuracy regarding drug dosages, pharmaceutical interactions, toxicological thresholds, or emergency medical procedures is immediately triaged by senior editors and medical reviewers for immediate rectification.
  • Standard Factual Corrections (24–48 Hours): Errors involving researcher names, study publication dates, sample sizes, or institutional affiliations are investigated and resolved within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Formal Retractions: If a cited clinical study is formally retracted by its journal or proven fraudulent, our coverage is updated with a prominent Retraction Alert detailing the scientific consensus.
